My Work
My approach is holistic; that means I try to understand individuals from a bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspective. In order to see "the big picture" I ask questions about a person's birth and health; diet and exercise; medications; past traumas and treatment; family of origin, social development, and relationships; and the role that spirituality plays in their lives. I provide counseling for a wide variety of issues including: depression; anxiety; grief; sexual trauma and other forms of PTSD; relationships (including couple counseling and divorce); GLB; and the psychology of women. I work with individuals, couples, families and groups. I have almost 20 years of experience treating individuals with eating disorders. Appointments are scheduled between 10 A. M. and 6 P.M. Monday through Thursday, including through the lunch hours. Friday appointments are scheduled twice a month.
Insurance
I am on the following insurance panels: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, ComPsych, First Health, Healthe Exchange, United Health Care. If you plan to use insurance, you are encouraged to call the Customer Service number on the back of your insurance card. Ask about deductibles, co-pays for mental health, and the number of outpatient sessions you policy allows per year.
